Pioneer DJ DDJ-200 Setup Guide

Connecting your AV:Link speakers

- The lead needed to connect your speakers is in the AV:Link speaker box. It is an aux lead that connects the black side of the splitter cable to the AUX input on the back of the powered speaker.

- Press the MODE button on the powered speaker until you see a red light next to BT/AUX. This shows you have selected the AUX input.

Connecting your DM-40D speakers

- The lead needed to connect your speakers is in the DM-40D box. The small jack plugs into the black side of the splitter cable and the white and red connectors plug into Input 1 on the back of the powered speaker.

- Make sure that the cable connecting the speakers has been stripped back to bare wire. The wire needs to make contact with the metal part of the spring loaded terminal in order for the second speaker to work.

iPhone users

- Make sure that the headphone adapter you are using is an official Apple one. We have seen many audio problems when people use unofficial adaptors.

- iPhone 15 and 16 users will need a USB-C to 3.5mm Headphone Jack Adapter.

- iPhone 14 and earlier users will need a Lightning to Audio Jack Adapter.

- Top Tip - Apple used to Lightning Audio Adapters with iPhones 7, 8 and X. If you have an old iPhone box somewhere then check inside and you might find the adaptor you need.

- You can download the free WeDJ app from the app store.

iPad users

- If you have a newer model without a headphone socket you will need a USB-C to 3.5mm Headphone Jack Adapter.

- You can download and install the WeDJ app from the App Store.

- If you want to use either Soundcloud Go+ or Beatport streaming services you will need to install the free WeDJ for iPhone instead of the iPad version.

Android users

- Download the free WeDJ app from the Google Play Store.

- Streaming services are not integrated in the free WeDJ app. You can try the Algoriddim DJ app if you want to use Tidal, Soundcloud, Beatport or Beatsource.

Laptop users

- rekordbox for Windows or macOS should be downloaded for free from here - https://rekordbox.com/en/download/

- The laptop System Requirement are shown on the download page above. If your laptop doesn't meet these requirements then it is not capable of running the software.

- When you connect the DDJ-200 to your computer running rekordbox it will unlock the Performance Mode and a tutorial will open to walk you through the controller. A new install of rekordbox will automatically start a 30 day free trial of their Core Plan. You can ignore this as the controller will work during the trial and continue to work after that has expired. You do not need to subscribe to one of rekordbox plans to use the DDJ-200.

- Chromebooks are not supported.
