The PLX-CRSS12 & DJM-A9 Package combines the analogue control of vinyl with cutting edge club mixing functionality. Use Serato DJ Pro or rekordbox skip free without temperamental needles or play real vinyl for that warm sound. Pioneer DJ re-invents what is possible with turntables.

    The PLX-CRSS12 & DJM-A9 Package includes:

    • 2 x Pioneer DJ PLX-CRSS12 Professional Hybrid Turntable
    • 1 x Pioneer DJ DJM-A9 4 Channel Pro Grade High End Digital Mixer

  • PLX-CRSS12 Key Features

Tone-arm-free DVS control eliminates skipping in digital playback

No matter how hard you scratch, you’ll never experience needle skipping when you use the PLX-CRSS12 to control rekordbox or Serato in Digital Vinyl mode, thanks to the tone-arm-free system. The new MAGVEL CLAMP holds a record firmly in place when you touch it, enabling it to directly control the digital music file, giving you the true feeling of vinyl with no need to use the tone arm. When playing analog records, the experience will be just like using the popular PLX-1000 deck.

Feeling adjustment to suit your style

You can quickly adjust the record's "weight" with the dial on top of the MAGVEL CLAMP. This feels like changing the slipmat to make the vinyl more or less grippy with the platter. Now you can effortlessly continue your performance without the hassle of changing slip mats or slip sheets.

  • PLX-CRSS12 Performance Features

    Customizable torque level

It's easy to change the turntable rotation torque level in the utility settings to suit your preference. You can choose from "High" for quick startup when you press PLAY, "Low" for the traditional torque speed that many DJs are familiar with, and "Mid" for a balance between the two.

Performance Pads for accurate and rapid control

The PLX-CRSS12 inherits classic turntable layout elements, but a new addition is the 4 built-in MIDI-mappable Performance Pads which put your favorite features at your fingertips. They’re right where you need them – just below the platter – so you can fire off Hot Cues and samples quicker than ever, which comes in handy even more if you’re performing on a mixer that has no pads. There’s native support for various pad modes (see below), and a dedicated button enables you to switch control from pads 1-4 to 5-8. The pads are MIDI mappable too, so you can assign them to other features.

OLED display for quick confirmation of track information

The built-in OLED display also helps you focus on the deck. You can keep an eye on the tempo range and key when Step Pitching and, when you connect the PLX-CRSS12 via USB to your PC/Mac running DJ software, you can reference BPM, key, deck number information. The display also gives you quick access to the utility settings – all of which reduces the need to break concentration and look at your laptop or mixer during a performance.

  • DJM-A9

The Pioneer DJ DJM-A9 boasts huge upgrades compared to its predecessor, the DJM-900NXS2. The next-generation club sound comes from new, high-quality 32-bit A/D and D/A converters from ESS Technology on the channel inputs and both master and booth outputs. The extensive development in this area means this mixer provides stunningly clear sound quality on and dance floor and in the booth.

The main controls have all evolved too to improve playability. The DM-A9 features increased spacing around the EQ knobs, bright LEDs in the channel section, optimised frequency response on the isolators and slicker channel faders than the DJM-900NXS2. Plus the crossfader has been upgraded to a third-generation MAGVEL FADER for extended life and improved feel.

The FX have always been a killer feature with Pioneer DJ club standard mixers and these sections have also been upgraded too. The Sound Color FX now have the World's first Centre Lock switch. Engage this feature for the Sound Color FX and each knob will stop turning when you reach the centre position so you can’t go too far and accidentally switch from the hi/low to the opposite parameter. A new colour display helps you to quickly and accurately understand the status of the selected Beat FX, and it features lighting that corresponds with the X-Pad’s horizontal arrangement, enabling more intuitive control with a simple finger slide. There are 14 Beat FX to play with including 3 new ones: Mobius, Triplet Fliter, and Triplet Roll.

Expanded connectivity allows 2 different PC/Mac systems to be used at the same time thanks to the dual USB Type-B and USB Type-C ports (there are 2 of each), and wireless audio can be routed to any channel via the Bluetooth input. The Multi I/O section has an independent channel selector, giving the DJM-A9 true send capabilities for use with external effects processors. There are dual headphone outputs too, each with their own cue buttons, volume knobs, and mix balance knobs, so you can monitor tracks independently from another DJ.
